For the first time in forever, experience the musical phenomenon that has taken the world by storm! Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature film, Disney’s Frozen includes all the film’s beloved songs by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, along with new music written exclusively for the stage. In the beautiful mountainous kingdom of Arendelle, Princesses Anna and Elsa grow up sheltered inside their castle, isolated from the world and increasingly distant from each other. When Elsa is crowned queen, the magical powers she’s desperately tried to conceal from her sister take control, and she flees into the mountains. As a ferocious winter descends on Arendelle, Anna sets off on an epic journey to find Elsa and bring her home – with the help of hardworking ice harvester Kristoff, his loyal reindeer Sven, and a happy-go-lucky snowman named Olaf. Full of magic, humor, and a stunning musical score, Frozen is a powerful tale of sisterhood, acceptance, and finding the real meaning of true love.
AUDITION INFORMATION
We are thrilled to begin the casting process for CVFT's holiday production of Disney's Frozen!!
Auditions will be held 9/19, 9/21 and 9/22 at Chanhassen High School. Invited callbacks will be held on 9/24.
All auditioners will need to fill out our digital audition form (link below) and select an audition timeslot. Please note that when filling out your audition form that we have two separate audition groups based on age. If you (or your auditioner) are in the 8-15 year old range you do not need to prepare anything prior to the audition. Please come prepared to move as you will be taught a short dance. If you are auditioning with a dress/skirt please wear shorts under your skirt as the choreographer may ask for tricks or kicks. We suggest close-toed shoes.
If you are 16 years or older, please prepare 60-90 seconds of a musical theatre song that showcases your voice. An accompanist will be provided at auditions- please bring sheet music with a vocal AND piano line marked with your starting and ending spots. Please dress for movement as there will be a dance audition. Please wear shorts under any dresses or skirts. Jazz or character shoes welcome but not required. Closed-toed shoes required.
Please note- we are not casting Sven from auditions. The role will be filled by a puppeteer.
